No monopoly on values

In the Denver Post, guest columnist Jennifer Wheary points out that no political group has a monopoly on values. "American religious practice is less conservatively Christian and much more diverse than campaign slogans and sound bites suggest," she writes. Yet another commentator has realized the obvious fact that left-wing religious values inform votes just as much as right-wing religious values do. The idea that only conservative Christians would want their leaders to speak out on important moral issues should finally be put to rest.
