Roman Storzer, Becket Fund Executive Vice President and Director of Litigation, wrote the lead commentary piece in the October 18 National Law Journal. In "No muzzles on the pulpit," (PDF format) Storzer summarizes The Becket Fund's argument in favor of free speech for churches.
"No court has permitted the IRS to ban this speech, over First Amendment objection," Storzer notes. "These leaders provide guidance to millions of Americans on the most fundamental moral issues of the day. The IRS should stop censoring them."
